A little baby fever to share with everyone....

Meet Baby Drew!! Is he not just the cutest?!?! I was lucky enough to be contacted by one of my sorority sisters to photograph her newborn son. I was so excited to hear from Jennifer! So, today (after too many years since I last saw her) I went to visit her, Jeff, and Drew! Oh, and the dog! :) Drew is just precious! No sleepy baby this afternoon, he was wide awake the whole time! I hope that's going to help Jennifer out tonight. He was very cooperative and turned out to be quite the little model. I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek of today's session. I shot so many it'll probably take me a day or 2 to get your proofs ready! ZLAM!!

Mistletoe Kisses has begun!

Meet Buddy! Oh...and Amy and John, too. Tonight I had a great time shooting this extremely photogenic couple and their furbaby, Buddy. Buddy showed me his tricks. He can drag his legs, run around in circles and even played with the ball! Mom and Dad said he doesn't do much usually, but he showed out for me! I loved it! And as for Amy and John, I really don't think it is possible for them to take a bad picture!! I'll have the proofs ready soon so you can choose for your Christmas Cards and prints. My sweet Anderson...

This morning I realized that my sweet little boy could actually hold his head up long enough for me to take few shots!! How exciting! Anderson is such a sweet boy! For those who may be wondering, that spot on his head is called a nevus. It's a birthmark. He will begin extensive surgery in December to have it removed. I'm sure I'll have pics up for everyone to see. He's just too precious not to capture every second I can! :)

A perfect fall wedding....

Last night, Kyle and I shot the wedding of Cory and Lauren. The wedding was beautiful! The perfect fall wedding! The colors really popped against a gorgeous lake background. Last night, one of my best friends married her Prince Charming! It was a gorgeous ceremony and quite a wild reception! We had such a great time!! I wasn't on "duty" last night as the photographer...but I wanted to share a few pics!! Jon got my camera out for me so I could have a few pics to share with friends and family. So, these are really just snapshot quality but precious to me none the less!

Look at this couple! They are the CUTEST!! I had such a good time shooting this wedding yesterday with Kyle and Rachel. It was a perfect September afternoon. Beautiful weather... Beautiful people...GORGEOUS! Morgan and Michael are so sweet together and it definitely shows in their photos. I had so many favorites that I couldn't limit this "sneak peek" to only 3! I hope you enjoy these as much as I do. :)

What a little trooper!

This morning I met sweet Conner and his mom at the Governor's Mansion. Time for some 6 month pictures! And of course...it was raining! Not too badly though...we hung on and got some really great shots of one ADORABLE little boy!! How can you not smile when you see this handsome little boy? He has one of the best grins I've ever seen!! Hope you enjoy this little preview. :)

I wanna be like Mike! (I mean, doesn't everybody?)

Meet Mike! He's a senior at GMC and I had the pleasure of shooting his senior pics today. He's one of Coach Cawley's football players...so you could say I'd been forewarned! Nothing bad, I promise! Just a few little things Coach Cawley assured me would get a smile out of Mike. Know what?! It worked!! Mike is such a great young man. I enjoyed the time I spent with him and his mom. Now, I have about a million pictures to edit...but here are a few to enjoy while I work!

One of my favorites!

This picture is one of my all time favorites of Eva...so I thought I'd share it! I have a shoot lined up for this weekend that I'm really excited about! YAY!! Can't wait...and when I get them ready I'll put a few shots up here for everyone to enjoy!

Rain Puddles are so much fun!

I promised Eva that we'd go jump in the puddles after her nap today. Don't you even think for a second that she might let me forget! As soon as she woke up, puddles were on the brain! So, we dug out the rain boots and off we went! We even had little brother wrapped up like a little papoose! Thankfully, he was rescued by his sweet Aunt Glenda while Eva and I played. She had a blast!! Her skirt is still too big, so yup...if you look close enough you can see the safety pin I held it up with! I just thought it was too cute to "airbrush" out!

Anderson's studio shoot!

Today was my first chance to shoot in the KHP studio. And of course, my sweet Anderson was my subject of the day! I think he's absolutely adorable, but maybe that's a mama's perspective. And of course, since I wasn't shooting Eva she couldn't wait to pose for me.

We took Eva down to the River Walk

Today I took Eva down to the River Walk to scout some locations and get some shots of the diva. It was super hot, so I didn't get a whole lot to work with. BUT, I did get this great shot of Eva walking down the path. I think this picture really sums up how I feel about starting my photography venture. Looking ahead with excitement as I start down this path that I've looked forward to for so long!! A dream come true!!

I've decided to take the plunge!

I've talked about this on and on for a while now. But, last night, I finally did my first official photoshoot! Kyle has always told me that I could shoot with her whenever I wanted. I always said I wanted to, but never actually made it happen. Friday I decided to email her and ask her what she had coming up and she said she had a wedding last night that she'd happily let me tag along on! I nervously said YES!!

So, last night I tagged along with Kyle and Rachel as they shot Crystal and Shane's wedding. I shot some wedding shots for my sister last year, but other that that, most of my photos have been of my babies. SO, this was something really new for me. But, quickly, I realized how great this is!! It was so fun to capture the beauty of this couple as they shared their special day. I think I shot atleast 900 pictures!! I'm just hoping for a few really good shots out of those 900.

Let me just say, I LOVE doing this!!! It was a long and very HOT day, but it was so exciting! I totally felt like my heart was really in the right place. Now, I have to really work and pray hard that I can get this going for me. I love taking pictures that capture a special moment. A moment passes too quickly so being able to capture that split second is worth more than money can buy.
